World Teachers’ Day 2023

World Teachers’ Day Date, History and Theme

Every year on October 5th, people from every part of the world join in to celebrate World Teachers’ Day to honor teachers on this day.

Teachers are like hidden heroes in our community, and we want to give them the recognition they deserve.

World Teachers’ Day was established in 1994 by the UNESCO to commemorate the signing of the “Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers.”

This document, also known as the “ILO/UNESCO Recommendation concerning the Status of Teachers,” was adopted on October 5, 1966.

United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization promotes world peace and security through international cooperation in education, arts, sciences and culture.

The theme for World Teachers’ Day 2023 is “The Teachers We Need for the  Education We Want: The Global Imperative to Reverse the Teacher  Shortage.”

This theme highlights the importance of investing in teachers to ensure  that they have the skills and knowledge required to provide quality  education.

As we celebrate their dedication, let us commit to supporting and  empowering teachers, ensuring that they continue to inspire, educate,  and shape the leaders of tomorrow.

Let us all take this opportunity to celebrate the teachers in our lives and to show them our appreciation for all that they do.
